🐾 About

Tiny Tails Kitten Rescue is a foster-based nonprofit organization in the Chicagoland area dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned kittens. We provide temporary care through foster homes where kittens receive daily care, socialization, and age-appropriate nutrition.

We coordinate routine veterinary services, including wellness exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter prior to adoption whenever possible. Once ready, kittens are placed into carefully screened, loving homes.

Tiny Tails Kitten Rescue is committed to giving kittens a safe start in life and helping them transition into permanent families.

Please keep in mind of the TWO-KITTEN RULE. Many rescues follow this rule because, trust us, we have been around the block with kitten development quite a few times. If you do not already have a cat at home and wish to adopt a singleton kitten under 6 months of age, we do NOT allow that. Please read below the reasoning for this. In short, it is best for a young kittens development (and best for you) to have them grow up alongside another cat or kitten. Aggression and poor behavior can otherwise result in raising a singleton alone.

Get familiar with the 3-3-3 rule BEFORE adopting a cat. Older cats can take mor time to adjust to their new homes.

  1. We allow 3 days for them to acclimate. Give them their essentials, space, but also make your presence known comfortably for them.
  2. In 3 weeks, they will settle in to their new home. They will explore, get used to the household routine, and seek attention from their new family.
  3. By 3 months, they will truly feel at home!
